This is a high 2500 mcg dosage and is more comfortable to ingest than taking B12 shots. However, I prefer B12 sublingual (under the tongue) but this product in tablet form is not a bad idea except that I always wonder how much of the tablet is absorbed by the body. As we age tablets are harder to break down in the body. There is only a very little area of the intestines that absorbs B12 and if the tablet is not broken down when it passes this section, very little or none is absorbed by the body. Perhaps crushing the tablet will help the body to absorb it better and it is what I do and keep some of it under my tongue to absorb directly into my system. B12 is one of the trickiest vitamins to get absorbed into the body so I do all I can in different ways to make sure I get some B12 benefits.
